What Is CBD Oil?
CBD is short for Cannabadiol
Cannabidiol is legal in all 50 states. So, CBD oil is cannabidiol oil, or oil that contains CBD. CBD is one of many cannabinoids, or “ingredients,” found in the cannabis plant.
Cannabis plants which include:
- Hemp
- Marijuana
The premium quality CBD oils that we produce at Feel Brands are extracted from hemp (not marijuana) and contain 0.0% THC so there are no psycho-active affects that you would with a CBD oil that does contain THC. Some CBD oils contain as little as 0.3%. In other words, with 0.0% THC, but the full benefits of CBD, you may feel better, but you won’t feel high.
What Is Hemp-Derived CBD?
What does hemp-derived CBD (cannabidiol) do? CBD is a non-psychoactive ingredient that may be taken into the body in multiple ways including:
- Sublingual (under the tongue) usually through an oil tincture dropper
- Gel-caps, much as you would take medicine or a dietary/nutritional supplement
- Directly on the skin, usually through creams, balms or salves
- Chewable/Edible products eaten as one normally does
- Inhalation into the lungs, usually through a vaporizer
- Aerosol sprays
- Ingestion through powder-mixed or pre-mixed drink
- And for dogs & horses, there are dog & equine treats
The FDA does not allow claims to be made as to the benefits of CBD oil because there is limited research. According to Wikipedia, “As of 2018, preliminary clinical research on cannabidiol included studies of
- Anxiety
- Cognition
- Movement Disorders
- Epilepsy
- Autism
What Does CBD Do?

We’ve heard anecdotal reports that CBD benefits people with:
- Arthritis
- Anxiety
- Joint Pain
- Epilepsy
- Seizures
- Autism
CBD Is Legal
The 2014 Farm Bill legalized the sale of some hemp grown within states participating in the Hemp Pilot Program. The revised Farm Bill was ratified in late, 2018. We expect deeper research on CBD and CBD oil to follow.
Hemp and CBD products that contain less than 0.3% THC was deemed legal by the Federal government. So, CBD is legal in all 50 states. Feel Fit, Feel Alive and Feel Peace all have 0.0% THC. So the Feel Brands products are THC-free. THC-free CBD means you don’t have to worry about THC showing up in drug testing results.
