How Does One Choose the Best CBD Oil?
Here at Feel Brands™ we believe whole-heartedly that our customers should be among the most well-educated and informed in cannabidiol (CBD) oil industry. Not only is this imperative so that our customers can put their trust in our company and our products, but also to cut through the clutter and massive amounts of mis-information circulating around the internet.
Honestly, each individual on the planet is unique and as such, each person’s individual experience with a specific CBD oil may be a bit different. In our pursuit to develop the best CBD oil on the market, our research led us to several conclusions we feel are of the utmost importance when you’re looking for a CBD oil for yourself or your family. Consider these to be your “checkboxes” to make sure you are in fact choosing the best CBD oil.
- The Oil is Full- or Broad-Spectrum CBD – If you’ve read some of our other information you’ve seen this statement made in other posts as well. There are at least 113 known cannabinoids that can be derived from the cannabis plant. In a CBD oil the main cannabinoid is of course CBD, however, you cannot dismiss the importance of the inclusion of other cannabinoids in the oil as well. Mounting evidence continues to show that the naturally occurring cannabinoids are more effective working in concert together versus isolating them (CBD isolate) down to singular compounds.* This phenomenon of multiple cannabinoids working together has been coined as the “entourage effect“, and we believe in its importance in developing the best CBD oil we can possibly provide. If the oil your researching does not say “full” or “broad” spectrum, it may be an isolate, and we’d encourage you to look further, or give one of our products a try.
- Look for Third-Party Lab Tests – Maybe this goes without saying, but with CBD oils you are purchasing a product that you will either be ingesting or applying to your physical person. We feel that ANY company that is asking you to ingest or apply their product also owes it to you to tell you exactly what’s in it, and what testing has been completed to verify the contents. We also believe that this testing should be completed by an independent 3rd party. We have no problem sharing our lab results with our customers, and we believe any of the best CBD oil companies out there will feel the same. If not, walk away.
- The Number of Milligrams IS Important – Each day we see more and more companies producing CBD oils, specifically tinctures, for sale with WILDLY varying amounts of CBD oil. To be honest, there’s not much information provided to consumers as to how much CBD oil they should take. We see this as a concern for the industry, and leads to countless consumers feeling let down by CBD oil, and it most likely lies solely on the brand they tried. Our experiences have shown us that most (not all) customers will begin to notice the advantages of the best CBD oil when they ingest 1.5-2mg of CBD oil per 10 lbs of body weight.* For simple math, we’re going to use the standard 30ml tincture bottle for an example. In order for a dropper (.5 ml) of CBD oil to contain the roughly 25 to 30mg of CBD oil you’ll need, you need to have at least a 750mg per 30ml bottle solution. If your CBD tincture is less than that you could of course take more than one dropper at a time, or more throughout the day, but with the prices of full-spectrum CBD oil we believe this is not the most cost effective way to take the product.
- The Importance of the Carrier Solution – While CBD oil is the main active ingredient in the best CBD oil options you will find, it’s important to understand how important the “carrier oil” is in the equation. To make it short, CBD molecules have to be ingested or absorbed into the body. The best way to increase the amount of the compound that gets absorbed (bioavailability) is to place the compound into a solution that is more soluble than the compound itself. In the case of CBD oil, you need to have a fat-soluble solution such as hemp-seed oil, or coconut oil to increase bioavailability. In fact, these solutions can increase bioavailability by up to 3X of the CBD extract alone. In the case of our products, we’ve chosen to go with hemp-seed oil as our carrier since its saturated fat content is roughly 10x less than coconut oil.
We sincerely hope this information helps you on your search for the best CBD oil for you. We DO believe that we’ve discovered that oil ourselves, and encourage you to try Feel Brands™, but also believe in educating our consumers so that they can ultimately reach that conclusion on their own.
As always… Feel Great.
